As incoming sports franchises return once again, brand sponsorships are lining up and venues are preparing for packed schedules. Spring marks the start of athletic events, like the NBA and WNBA postseason games. Some favorite team contenders are the Warriors and Cavaliers. Both are beloved, and fans are tuning in to see who will be heading into the playoffs.

In addition to basketball, there are other sports that will be featured in the spring sports spectacle. International and national competitions for ice hockey, tennis, cycling and golf are making way for more exciting events for this season. The International Ice Hockey Federation is hosting its annual tournament, with national teams competing for a spot in the international championship. The National Hockey League of the U.S. is also kicking off the ice hockey season. Throughout April 9-20, each team will try to secure a spot as the champion. The Nordic countries will be competing  in Czechia where Canada will compete as well.

Heading to the other continent In Europe, tennis has returned across nations, including the WTA Tour, the Porsche Grand Prix and the ATP Masters tour. As the top female players compete at the Hologic WTA tournament on April 12-21, the male players will be competing at the BMW Open in Germany, the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, Monte-Carlo Masters Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Mutua Madrid Open. Some  qualifiers are Coco Gauff in the WTA, Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus and Iga Swiatek from Poland. As for the ATP Masters tour, Carlos Alcaraz from Spain, Luke Johnson from the USA and Alexander Zverev from Germany will be competing.

Also wrapped in the whirlwind of sports currently is the PGA and LPGA golf tours where the players compete across the nation. These tournaments include the Masters Tournament in Georgia, the RBC Heritage in South Carolina and the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic. As the Masters Tournament wraps up, attention shifts to the RBC Heritage, and continues to the PGA Tour. Players will earn points towards the FedExCup Fall Standings, a system that awards points exclusively through the Signature events based on their standings.
