What to Watch During Your Quarantine!

Quarantine has its downsides; we aren’t able to go out and watch films at the theater, eat at our favorite restaurants, or mingle with our friends from school. Staying home, while manageable for some, can be for others. For those of us who need a distraction in the form of intriguing storylines, complex characters, and cherished friendships, here is a list of exceptional television shows and movies you can stream during your quarantine. 

Shows:

1. The Great British Baking Show is a classic TV-contest for amateur bakers to test their baking skills and compete with others who want to be named U.K.’s best.
2. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a hilarious and captivating police comedy following an immature and silly but potentially great officer named Jake Peralta.
3. I Am Not Okay With This is a charming and relatable new show that follows a teen struggling with a family mystery who discovers she has telekinesis.
4. The Office is a mockumentary that depicts the lives of everyday office employees working at a paper company. This simple, unconventionally show draws you in with the wholesome relationships and friendships that develop over the course of the series.
5. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is based on an 1950s Upper West Side housewife who finds out she has a talent for stand-up comedy after her husband leaves her.

1. Booksmart is a funny, vibrant, and fresh take on senior year and the transition from high schooler to graduate.

4. Arrival is about a woman played by Amy Adams, who learns to communicate with aliens who mysteriously land on earth; the film will keep you on the edge of your seat.
5. Guardians of the Galaxy is a superhero film about a group of extraterrestrial criminals who group together to find an artifact. Heartwarming, humorous, and jam-packed with classic songs, this movie will be entertaining for the whole family.
