Christmas Movie Reviews

Here are some Classic Christmas movies that are must-watches around the holiday season. “Home Alone” is about an eight-year-old boy, named Kevin McCallister, who gets fed up with his family and makes a wish to have no family. This wish ends up coming true and he is super excited. However, when he has to protect the house from robbers, his initial excitement declines.“Love Actually” can be seen as a confusing movie, as there are nine different story lines going on in one movie, however, they are all connected by love. Each adorable plot nurtures a Christmas feeling and leaves anyone rooting for all of the soulmates to be. “Scrooged” is a modern-day interpretation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." Frank Cross in this rendition is a super successful television executive who has driven away from the love of his life. A series of ghosts pay him a visit, which causes him to come to the revelation that his actions were wrong and he chooses to better himself. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is a story of an isolating and antisocial green Grinch who desires to ruin Christmas for all the cheery citizens of Whoville. He ends up finding a flaw in his plan,  a young girl that changes his perspective on Christmas.“The Holiday Calendar” features a photographer with an antique calendar that predicts her future. This movie facilitates hope during the season and shows the importance of the spontaneity of life.
