Most of us look forward to the new year where we can reinvent ourselves and pick up new, better habits. However, a lot of us often get caught up in the fast-paced world around us and forget to take time for ourselves. We should instead take the little time off we get every day to engage in self-care.Try to get a healthy amount of sleep every night. This will help you feel more refreshed the next day and be able to spend time with your family and friends. Getting more sleep may also help improve your mood so that you can spend your year with a smile!Try to have a set morning routine that includes exercise. A routine provides organization and structure that helps soothe your mind and decrease both physical clutter and mental clutter. Exercise and caring for physical health is also a great way to improve mental health with self-care. Making sure to pair cookies with healthy food items will also put you on a path for a better overall mental state. Making sure to not spend too much time online and more with family and friends is also a great way to reduce some of the continuous minds from your mind. Taking a social media cleanse will help your stress levels decrease and also reflect on your future in 2020. So try to set those limits on Instagram and Snapchat and go out for boba or coffee with your friends instead!The new year is a great time to focus on yourself without worrying about school and upcoming assignments and tests, so try out some of these tips!
