Willow Smith Concert Review

Willow Camile Reign Smith, better known by her stage name Willow, is an up and coming alternative R&B artist. Her amazing latest album, named Willow, was a hit among the youth because of  its relatable messages.I went to her concert in September and while there , you could feel her enthusiasm and passion through the energy she puts on during the show. Since she is still a rising artist, the open venue, the Catalyst Club, was small and intimate which enhanced her connection with the audience.While performing, Willow cued the audience to sing along, making the experience even more inclusive. Even the background dancers conveyed the lyrics so authentically. Seeing her enjoy herself onstage and move to the music made the audience want to do the same. The entire venue was a calming shade of purple because of the lighting. This really transformed the entire scene since it looked so magical. Willow emits chill, positive  vibes which can be seen whether at her concert or not. Being able to get close to her and hear the bass loudly in my ears was such an amazing experience that Spotify could never give me. In her songs, Willow  includes elements of hip hop, soul, minimalist R&B, cloud rap, and chillwave. Her lyrics focus on the themes of sexuality, nostalgia, and empowering women. If you're looking for something to lift your spirits with a good beat, Willow is a great artist for you.
