Safe Vacation Trips During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic restricted travel due to the multiple health risks traveling brings to the public. Though necessary, these restrictions have impacted people’s lives greatly: increasing individual boredom and loneliness. Now that cases are declining, along with a surge in vaccinations, going on vacations, while taking certain precautions, once again becomes possible.

Renting an RV is one of the safest ways to re-experience the joy of traveling. As many people have been forced to work from home, RV trips make life on the road incredibly easy and fun. RVs offer a taste of vacation as people get to travel wherever their hearts desire, but still follow all social distancing guidelines through its seclusion. Driving to campgrounds, such as Yosemite or Yellowstone, are perfect ways to travel during this pandemic due to nature's openness and the variety of sites to visit.

Surely, many people are missing a trip to Hawaii or Mexico, and are craving a tropical vacation in this time of boredom. Renting a house on the water in Sonoma County will definitely give a similar experience and is a much more practicable option, as of now. Perfect for a family escape, houseboats offer multiple ways to pass time, like fishing, exploring, cliff jumping, and even water skiing. By staying on a houseboat, people can enjoy the beauty of the vast lakes in Sonoma County and still commit to respectable social distancing from other visitors.

During this pandemic, Airbnb has provided various precautions that the company and its guests are required to follow. Their strict rules have shown to be quite effective and has legitimized the safety of booking an Airbnb during the pandemic. Renting an Airbnb in San Francisco is a way to have a great, short getaway to relax and experience a glimpse of normalcy once again. From walking on Marina Boulevard and Fisherman’s Wharf, to hiking the California Coastal Trail, San Francisco is filled with numerous exciting sites while safely staying in an Airbnb for a few days.

Renting an RV, vacationing on a houseboat, or staying at an Airbnb are just some of the many ways to safely travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. By making the most of our current situation, we can still enjoy every opportunity around us. As for now, local trips may be the safest option, but hopefully in the near future as cases continue to go down, there will be no limitations to making new memories while traveling.
