Double Chocolaty Chip Brownies

These treats are perfect to share with your family and friends. They're just the right amount of chewy and fluffy. They're so good you may just eat them all yourself!

  1. Heat your oven to 325℉ and grease or line an 8 or 9-inch square pan
  2. In a medium bowl mix together:
    1. 1 cup of cocoa powder
    2. Pinch of salt
    3. ½ cup all-purpose flour

*Although sifting the flour is not necessary, it is recommended because it will make the flour lighter and easier to combine*

  1. In a large heatproof bowl melt 12 tbsp butter (1½ sticks)
    1. Add 1¼ cups sugar whisk to combine

  1. Once cooled beat in 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla to the butter mixture

*Make sure the butter is cool enough that the eggs won’t cook in it when added*

  1. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture
    1. After combined, you can add nuts, chocolate chips, candy, or anything else you would like to the batter. In this batch, I added semisweet chocolate chips. (I like adding baker’s chocolate if adding chocolate chips or chunks because they’re less sweet than regular chocolate)

  1. Pour the batter into your lined or greased pan, make sure to spread evenly in the pan

  1. Cook for 15-20 minutes, until the top is a lighter color but if shaken the pan is giggly (It’s better to undercook than overcook brownies)
    1. Let cool for 15-25 minutes before removing from pan
    2. Once removed, let the brownies cool thoroughly before cutting
  2. Enjoy!
