Sneak Peek of the 12 Incompetent Jurors

Notre Dame’s Performing Arts Department will be continuing strong with the upcoming fall play: 12 Incompetent Jurors by Ian McWethy. The story is set around 12 zany jurors, including a bickering couple, a dim-witted PR guy, and a man obsessed with french fries, who have the case of a man who is accused of abducting half a dozen cats. Although it is very clear that the abductor is guilty, a wannabe lawyer decides to try to prove the “Cat Burglar” innocent. The show is a comedic parody of the classic 12 Angry Men, reported to “have you rolling in the aisles” with laughter. This production will most definitely be an exciting and compelling experience for anyone who participates as an actor, tech member, or audience member.

The play will be performed in Downtown San José’s Hammer Theatre, scheduled for four performances before Notre Dame’s Thanksgiving break; November 21st -23rd, where the last day will have a matinee show as well. Though the news is being brought early, many participants of the production would very much appreciate the support of saving the date for the performance. However, any Notre Dame student who has an interest in scenic design, lighting, sound, makeup, costumes, or management, is also welcome to come participate in working on the play even if they are not interested in performing.Several more sneak peeks, announcements and interactions about the Fall Play and the VAPA program will be teased throughout the school year. Keep an eye out for more hype around the fall play and other performances and entertainment Notre Dame will be sharing this year.Link to the show tickets: http://hammertheatre.vbotickets.com/event//38708
