Tate McRae: Miss Possessive Tour
Her rise to fame began when she became the first Canadian finalist on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2016, just a year after she dropped her debut single, “One Day,” marking the start of her music career. Eight years later, Tate McRae is now a global pop star on her latest Miss Possessive Tour.
The 22-year-old singer started her tour in Mexico City on March 18, and her last show is expected to take place Nov. 8 in Los Angeles. Between the start and the end of her world tour, she visited a variety of countries across the globe, performing some of her greatest hits from her recent album “So Close to What,” like “It’s ok I’m ok,” “Revolving door,” and “Siren sounds”.
McRae began professionally dancing at a young age, developing a love and talent for the art at just six-years-old. Her skills of dance and vocal strength come together in her shows, making her performances not only sound amazing, but look entertaining visually as well. This much was evident when she performed “Sports car,” at the Grammys this year, putting both the audience and viewers at home in awe of her striking performance.
Throughout the duration of the tour, McRae had some notable guests open for her, such as Benee, Zara Larsson, and Alessi Rose. Benee opened for the European and UK leg of the tour, Larsson for the first half of the North American tour, and Rose on the latter half. All of these artists helped McRae make the tour even more incredible.
What you can expect on the tour, regarding timing, is the opener performing around 7:30 p.m. for 45 minutes, and McRae starting her first act around 9:00 p.m.. The set list is composed of 22 songs, and the show is estimated to be approximately an hour and a half long, consisting of dancing performances, an acoustic set, and super cool visuals. The songs are divided into five separate acts, tying in both her newer hits and older fan favorites, which is perfect for both fans who have been there since day one and her newer supporters as well.
McRae definitely has a gift for performing that everyone can definitely appreciate, fan or not. If you weren’t able to secure tickets to her Miss Possessive Tour, you definitely don’t want to miss the amazing performance she’s bound to give next time!
