Nirvana Soul: New Opening

Just a few minutes from Notre Dame lives Nirvana Soul, a thriving Coffee shop that has become a staple part of the Downtown San Jose Community. They are known for their wide selection of menu items and. Some of the most popular items on their menu are the Banana Chai, the Mabuhay Ube Latte, and the Honey Lavender Matcha. Within such a short period of time, they have made a big impact.

The first location opened in 2019 by Jeronica Macey and Be’Anka Ashaolu. Their mission is to “bring people together through the power of coffee and tea,” and they have truly done just that! Their impact in San Jose stretched all the way to Cupertino where they opened their second location in 2022. On Thursdays and Fridays, they host open mic sessions where local musicians are given the opportunity to showcase their talents! This way, they are able to serve the community in not only providing a welcoming space to relax, but also giving them a platform. Recently, a new location has opened up. Though it is still in Downtown San Jose, it is shifted a few streets down. Now in the Martin Luther King Jr. Library, San Jose State Students can enjoy the magic Nirvana Soul has to offer! With this, Nirvana Soul will continue to provide a space where students of color can feel safe and represented!
