The US’ Favorite Festival: Coachella 2024 and Headliners

Every year in April, every TikTok and Instagram user has one thing in common: they will see at least one post about the legendary Coachella. That’s right! It is that time of season again when the music lovers and social media influencers have a fun time together in the Palm Springs desert. Whether you see your favorite artist up on the stage or see drama between some people in the crowd, Coachella can always catch your attention so that you can feel like you are there as you sit on your bed at home.

Arguably the biggest concert festival in the United States, Coachella is a fun-filled music festival that attracts people from everywhere. It is a six-day festival split between two weekends. The first three days occur on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the second week of April, and then the festival repeats the next week.

In previous years, they have obtained headliners such as The Weeknd, Beyonce,  BLACKPINK, Tame Impala, and Harry Styles in 2022, who brought guests of his own like Shania Twain and Lizzo. This year, you may recognize a few performers. Famous artists are headlining the festival this year, and fans are excited to see Lana Del Ray, Tyler The Creator, and Doja Cat on the big stage. While these three are the big headliners, many other popular artists are performing, such as Sabrina Carpenter, Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, Blur, and more! However, the full 2024 lineup contains over 150 artists with an insane diversity of genres to listen to! Whether you love to listen to rock or prefer electronic dance music, Coachella is the place to dance your heart out and find your next favorite artist.

One thing about Coachella making it extra special this year is because they’re bringing a band back together! Rumors about No Doubt resurfacing have been speculated on the internet. However, Coachella announced on their lineup poster that No Doubt will be performing with a caption, “and… No Doubt!”  This is exciting for new and old fans of Gwen Stefani and the band, especially Emma Berube ‘25, who had told me, “I love the vibe of No Doubt, and with them coming back, it is very trendy with their music being so popular. Old bands coming back is super intriguing!”

The love many music lovers have for Coachella makes it trendy, popular, and fun for many attending or watching from home. Coachella, look out!
