December is finally upon us and it’s no secret that December is synonymous with Christmas, holidays, and festivities. It’s also the time where the makeup trends start shifting from the dark, grunge-y vibes of fall, and move towards the sparkling, champagne colors and classic winged tip liner. The holidays always bring cheer and happiness and the makeup definitely reflects that.
For my holiday makeup tutorial I incorporated those shimmering, gold colors but I also added some darker, metallic colors to add depth and dimension. Instead of adding a winged tip liner, which is extremely on trend right now, I opted to do the classic “holiday red lipstick”. There’s something about Christmas and December that brings out that very true red color in makeup.
I love the winter/holiday time because there’s more flexibility with the makeup trends and the colors you can use. Try my look out if you need to put together a festive look quickly and affordably. The holidays can be a time to splurge but most makeup stores/brands will have great sales and discounts so there’s no reason to have to break the bank to look good this holiday season!
