Over Spring Break, 10 students took a theater trip to the “Big Apple”! Right upon their 6 am arrival, students walked around Manhattan and got to see the beautiful sights of the city. Joined together with another group of students from Chicago, they were able to meet new people and feel a sense of independence in the city. Each day was met with new adventures, such as meeting Hamilton actor, Thayne Jasperson in a workshop, or running into Jonathan Groff when walking past the theater. Every night, they got to watch fabulous Broadway shows like Phantom of the Opera and Fun Home. From the Statue of Liberty to the 9/11 Memorial, they received the full NYC experience, complete with bustling and busy streets. They group even had a chance to have their own Gossip Girl moment, while eating on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Check out the NDSJ VAPA Twitter for more pictures and videos!
